Sponsorships

Newcastle United Secure MansionBet Backing

It’s been a busy summer for English Premier League club Newcastle United and, up to this point, it’s one that has left fans feeling nervous about the new campaign. With popular manager Rafa Benitez having left St James’s Park, new incumbent Steve Bruce hasn’t the best record in the top flight and there have been a flood of bets on a Newcastle relegation in the wake of his appointment.

Those fans have seen few reasons to be cheerful but perhaps a new commercial partnership with sportsbook MansionBet will help to allay their fears.

Two Year Deal

Under the terms of the new contract, MansionBet have agreed to become Newcastle United’s official betting partner in the UK. The deal is for an initial two years and while the exact financial numbers have not been confirmed, it’s certain to be a multi-million pound arrangement.

MansionBet have promised fans special bets and prizes and while some supporters may remain sceptical, the two parties are certainly enthusiastic about the announcement.

Increase Reach

CEO of MansionBet Karel Manasco stated:

We are excited to add Newcastle to our growing portfolio of sponsorships to increase our reach in the UK and Ireland. We have plans for activities that will benefit both the club and the fans.

Speaking on behalf of the football club, Newcastle’s Head of Commercial Dale Aitchison added:

We are delighted to welcome MansionBet to our family of partners.

MansionBet has a proven track record when it comes to Football Sponsorship and we look forward to working with them and delivering a fantastic betting service to our fans on a matchday.

Special Offers

Newcastle United

As part of this new contract, MansionBet will be offering fans of Newcastle United FC the chance to predict the correct score and first goalscorer during Premier League games through the 2019/20 campaign. The prizes available are the money-can’t-buy type and are set to include player meet and greets plus training ground experiences.

Those are prizes that supporters will surely embrace but can MansionBet’s involvement help the club to match the fans’ ambitions on the pitch?

Pivotal Summer

Many Newcastle United fans would have been resigned to losing their manager Rafa Benitez at the end of the 2018/19 season but most would have been hoping for a more high-profile replacement. Steve Bruce may be a Geordie at heart but he’s also managed bitter local rivals Sunderland in the past.

More importantly, Bruce’s track record is one of the worst of any manager in the Premier League but, the quickest way for him to win fans over is to purchase some big names in the transfer market. We’ve already seen some encouraging signs with the transfer of Brazilian striker Joelinton from Hoffenheim for a club record fee.

A side of Newcastle United’s stature really needs to be in the top half of the Premier League and to be challenging for the European places. The involvement of MansionBet will help that cause and it will be fascinating to see how this deal, which has big benefits for all concerned, will develop in the two years that lie ahead.
