Investec Derby 2017

The second leg of the triple crown, and one of the most historic sporting events around the world is upon us with the Epsom Derby all ready for the off. Saturday’s race will see a strong field and, if you are looking to take a punt on the joint favourite Cracksman, you can take the general book price of 4/1 and take that all the way up to 16/1 with this new customer deal from 888Sport.

The Figures

888Sport are one of a number of bookies quoting that 4/1 figure on Cracksman while you can also get that price with bet365 and Paddy Power among others. It is a tight field with the Aidan O’Brien trained Cliffs of Moher also at 4/1 with Winner Sports while Eminent is further back at 7/1 with bet365 and Betway.

If, having weighed up the form which we will touch on later, you decide that Cracksman is the one for you, here’s what you need to do in order to claim this offer.

Next Steps

You can only claim this promotion if you are a new customer to 888Sport so, if you haven’t had any dealings here in the past, sign up via the link and register your details in a quick and easy process. Deposit at least £10.00 but do not use an ewallet as these are excluded from the promotion.

Use a debit card or credit card if possible as these are acceptable and your funds should be available immediately. With those funds at the ready, stake between £5.00 and £10.00 on Cracksman to win the Derby on Saturday June 3.

If you are successful with your bet, 888Sport will pay returns at the standard book price – currently 4/1 – back into your account while the balance, up to that 16/1 figure, will arrive as a free bet token. This will appear on your home page within 72 hours and you then have up to 7 days in which to use that token before it expires.

There is, as you would expect, very little to choose between the two horses with Cliffs of Moher recording two wins coming into this race. Cracksman has, however, a perfect record of two from two and the last of those came on this Epsom track so that’s why many are favouring John Gosden’s horse for the Derby.

It’s certainly not a guaranteed punt but Cracksman has a strong chance here and, if you were already considering this horse and are new to 888Sport, this is a great price boost.
