Burnley Announce Record Sponsor Deal with LaBa360The name of LaBa360 may be an unfamiliar one to English football fans but the betting company is about to make a significant move on the UK market thanks to a high profile commercial partnership.

The operator has been named as the official shirt sponsor for Premier League side Burnley from the start of the 2018/19 season and they will enjoy huge exposure as their logo appears on both home and away shirts in all competitions.

Terms

The announcement has been vague on exact details but we do know that this is a multi-year deal and that it’s been claimed as a new club record. That will undoubtedly represent a significant outlay for LaBa360 but they have tied in with a club that is in the ascendancy.

A seventh place finish in the Premier League at the end of 2017/18 means that Burnley will be playing in the Europa League from the start of the new season. That will extend the betting company’s exposure into Europe and it’s no wonder that LaBa360 are delighted with the arrangement.

Platform

Angelika Tang, a Director at LaBa360 said:

Built on solid foundations and following a stellar season, we are certain the club will provide us with the platform to launch this new, international iGaming brand.

Anthony Fairclough

On behalf of the football club, Burnley’s Commercial Director Anthony Fairclough added:

This is the largest financial deal in our history, and the third international company we have had as principal partner, which demonstrates the growing global appeal the club offers companies overseas thanks to our Premier League platform.

New Frontiers

It’s tough for any Premier League side to break through and challenge the stranglehold that the biggest and richest sides have on the division right now. Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea have a grip on the top six and while Burnley couldn’t quite overtake any of those clubs, they did well to  beat off the likes of Everton to claim that final European place.

As they prepare for a new challenge and the Europa League, manager Sean Dyche faces an important summer as he looks to get his squad ready for the 2018/19 campaign. The aim would be to progress in Europe while hoping to consolidate and maintain that seventh placed finish.

The first job for Dyche is to keep hold of key players and while there may be a lack of star names in this Burnley squad, there is some promising young talent including Nick Pope, Jack Cork and James Tarkowski who have all come through and played for England in the last 18 months.

Those three will attract interest from some of the bigger clubs so the manager has to look to keep them at Turf Moor while attracting new signings who can improve on his existing squad. It’s a big challenge but one that should be aided by this new sponsorship deal which is set to bring significant extra funding into Burnley FC.

For their part, LaBa360 have now made their first mark on a UK betting public who may not have been aware of them prior to this announcement. Over the course of the 2018/19 season and beyond, they have been given a perfect platform to build on that initial awareness and become a home for UK punters while for Burnley, the boost to preparations for their new season is a timely one.
