Anderlecht v Manchester United: Selection of Price Boosts for Thursday’s First Leg

Table of Contents

Lucasz Teodorcyk vs. Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Manchester United go marching on in Europe and at this stage of the season, victory in the Europa League may represent their best possible chance of Champions League qualification for next season. The next team to stand in their way are Anderlecht who currently top the Jupiler League in Belgium and come into Thursday’s first leg in reasonable form.

It’s an intriguing tie for the betting community and as always, there are some interesting price boosts from around the sportsbooks.

Winner Sports

Winner have been quick to declare a set of enhanced odds and these are available to all customers. Most of these favour Manchester United and perhaps the most tempting of these is the 3.00 available on Zlatan Ibrahimovic to score and Manchester United to win on the night. The Swede has picked up his scoring form since returning from suspension and looks primed to get on the scoresheet once again.

The second of these offers quotes Manchester United to win and both teams to score and this has been increased from 4.00 to 4.50. It’s likely that United will attack with a view to taking an away goal back to Old Trafford while the Belgians have some potency in their side with Lucasz Teodorcyk having scored 20 goals in 29 matches since arriving from Dinamo Kiev.

You can also get 6.50 – from 6.00 – on United to win both halves so if you expect the visitors to dominate from the very start, that could be another solid option.

The last of Winner Sports’ price boosts has Anderlecht to score first and that has been taken from 2.55 to 2.75. Although the points shift remains small for all of those, remember that these are for all customers and any profits come straight back into your account so there is definite value in these picks.

William Hill

Hills also have a set of four price boosts; they are all doubles and all feature a player goal as part of the bet. This time, they are evenly split between the two teams and we have Zlatan Ibrahimovic to score and United to win 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 at 5/1. We’ve seen how crucial the Swede is to this side and if his team were to win by any of those scorelines, there is every chance that he would be on the scoresheet.

The second bet is for United to win and Paul Pogba to score anytime and this has been lifted to 9/2. The French International isn’t necessarily a guaranteed starter on Thursday night but he has a respectable seven goals this season and can be a threat from anywhere on the pitch.

For Anderlecht, we’ve discussed the threat that Lucasz Teodorcyk poses and William Hill have a price boost of 8/1 on the Pole to score and the Belgian side to win 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1. Once again, if his side are to succeed, it’s likely that Teodorcyk will be the man to provide the firepower.

But Anderlecht are not a one man team and there is an interesting price of 8/1 on the Belgians to win and Youri Tielemans to score. The 19 year old has been watched by some of the biggest teams in Europe and will look to assist the front men.

A positive result for Manchester United in the first leg is vital if they are to succeed and the bookies are certainly backing them. 888Sport has a 7/1 offer on Manchester United to win. However, there is a good set of price boosts on offer for both teams and some potentially excellent profits to be made.
