22Bet Review

They have their roots in Cyprus but 22Bet have a dedicated co.uk website and that’s always a good sign for customers from the United Kingdom. Founded in 2017, the operator made strong moves in a short space of time thanks, largely, to some excellent promotions and a strong live betting service.

But are they a good all round bookie for those that want long term value in the ante post markets? We logged on to take a look.

Sports Markets / Odds

The list of available sports may not be the biggest around but the majority of core events are listed. This is a site to focus on if you like to bet on the major markets in football, tennis etc but there is good coverage within each sport. The full list reads as follows:

Football, Tennis, Golf, Cricket, Rugby League, Rugby Union, American Football, Baseball, Ice Hockey, Basketball, Darts, Snooker, Volleyball, Handball, Aussie Rules, Cycling, MMA, F1 and Boxing.

Eagle-eyed UK readers will have already noted that there are no markets for horse racing or for greyhounds. In keeping with a number of bookmakers, there are no options for anything on ‘four legs’ and that could deter some British punters.

There are some niches in the mix and it’s also clear that 22Bet are firmly behind the growing trend for eSports betting. Some games have their own section on the site so this is a great place to check out if you like to get involved with these events.

In terms of value, 22Bet are not on any of the main odds comparison sites right now but we checked some core sports and they should be competitive. As a long term customer, that value should be there for the life of your account.

Banking Options

Customers at 22Bet can fund their account using any of the major debit cards and there are two eWallet options added. Skrill and Neteller are the main providers in this respect and both are included on the schedule.

Some players would like to see that list expanded to include some of the more obscure eWallets but that range should offer enough scope for most of us to sign up.

Customer Service

Live chat is a must for sportsbooks these days and it’s good to see that 22bet have included this service so early in their journey. The icon is a little tricky to find so just scroll to the bottom right of the homepage and click on the small speech bubble.

If you prefer something a little more anonymous then there are other options. 22Bet have a dedicated email address, a webform and a standard rate phone number for UK customers. You could also start with the FAQs but most of us will want to bypass that and choose from a good set of effective help options.

Final Conclusion

Much of this review is positive and it shows some very good reasons as to why you may want to add 22Bet to your portfolio. Value is there from start to finish with solid promotions and good value odds on the core sports.

Of course it is a downside to exclude horse racing as far as UK punters are concerned. It remains the second most popular sport to bet on, behind football, and we hope that 22Bet might include it in the future.

But, back to the positives and if we add in good back up features including a decent range of banking options plus effective customer support, it’s all looking good for those considering signing up here.

  • Competitive odds
